West 8 urban design & landscape architecture, established in 1987, is an international practice with offices in New York and Rotterdam.

The New York office has an immediate vacancy for a senior landscape architect/project manager. Opportunities exist to work on a variety of significant projects, generally of prominence and with high design ambition.

Personal Skills Required:

As a key member of the design and leadership team, you will actively and positively contribute to the overall management and design leadership of key-projects on a daily basis, including collaboration with staff, consultants and maintaining positive client relationships.

Applicants should possess excellent design skills; be effective communicators both with clients and colleagues; should display leadership and be experienced in project management; will be accountable for financial performance;demonstrate broad technical knowledge of construction documentation including detailing, materials, grading, and;have field experience.

Applicants are expected to show a strong design portfolio

Computer Skills Required:

Skills required include proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Rhino, Sketch-up and Microsoft Programs including Microsoft Project.

Education Requirements:

Undergraduate or master degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited university required. Licensure as a Landscape Architect preferred.

Travel Required: Occasionally.
Salary: Competitive salary to commensurate with work experience.
